Stress Management

Learning about genetic results and cancer risk can be stressful. Our goal is to provide high-quality, coordinated care and counselling in order to reduce the stress felt by our patients and their families.

While stress is not always bad, constant and recurring stress can affect one's health and can contribute to poor health outcomes. If you feel overwhelmed by your result findings or cancer diagnoses or experience prolonged stress, please contact your genetic counselor and/or physician.  Our team is here to provide support and resources that will help you through the process of learning about your genetic risk factors for cancer.
