Ian Hurley

Research Specialist

Ian Hurley is a research specialist in the Olopade Lab at the Knapp Center for Biological Discovery at the University of Chicago. Ian graduated early with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2013. Having worked on stomach cancer at UIUC, he now works with the team on characterizing aggressive subtypes of breast cancer as part of the Nigerian Breast Cancer Study. His work and research interests involve medical genetics, genetic engineering, and functional genomics.
