Our Cancer Risk Clinic

The Cancer Risk Clinic at the University of Chicago is devoted to identifying and caring for individuals with an increased risk of cancer due to family history, medical and genetic conditions, or lifestyle factors. Our genetic counselors and physicians use personal and family history and genetic testing to assess cancer risk of individuals and their family members. Once the risks are determined, a cancer screening and risk reduction plan is designed. Our team works closely with patients and their primary care physicians to develop strategies for following this plan. We also have resources available to assist individuals and their family members with any related medical, psychological, social, and financial issues they may face.
